What is Church Leadership University?
Church Leadership University is a unique online learning experience designed for both the paid and volunteer church leader.
Why is it needed?
Many people both paid and volunteer are placed into leadership roles without much experience and/or skills in leadership. Put another way, many people are expected to lead but not everyone is a born leader. Church Leadership University provides an environment where leaders can develop their skills and learn tools that make them more effective.
When can I start?
The University officially opens on May 1, 2009. We are taking advanced registrations now which qualifies you for opening day discounts. If you are interested, please complete the form a the bottom of this page. There is no commitment at this time. We are just gauging interest to ensure we accommodate everyone.
How much is it?
Our goal is to keep the cost low so churches and ministries of ALL SIZES can participate while bringing you the highest quality training possible. If you register now, you qualify for pre-registration discounts.
How does it work?
At least once a month, you will meet with your instructor via the Internet at scheduled times. Between meetings you will be provided self-directed learning exercises, tools, and experiences that you will respond to by way of our on-line classroom. You will then be provided feedback on your responses helping you move along the way. Our goal is to challenge you while preparing you to be better leaders which facilitates greater discipleship.
What are the hours?
Because the University is virtual, the self-directed experiences are available 24-hours a day, 365 days per year. The meetings with the instructor will be at scheduled times you register for.
What will be taught?
We will actively add new curriculum, but on May 1, Leadership Skills I will be available. Leadership Skills I consists of:
Initial assessments about yourself
- Dealing with challenging personalities - including yours
- Seeing and assessing the talents within those you lead and work around
- Implementing the Leadership Test™ within your organization
- Scriptural guidance for daily growth
