For more than 30 years I have been involved in church leadership in one form or another. From serving as an acolyte as a child to youth ministry, to drama ministry, to technical ministries, and most recently, international missions and traveling the country working with hundreds of churches of all denominations and sizes, I have observed that staffs are often expected to produce and adapt to changes in their environment with little or no formal training. I have also observed a similar trend among church members. That is, many attend church with no real mission or path of spiritual growth. This all culminated in a trip to the Crystal Cathedral a few years ago. While there at a conference, God spoke to my heart. It was revealed to me that I was being called to a ministry of engagement. That is to help reconnect the pieces and help make the church not only functional, but performing at its peak.
Charles Garfield says in his book, Peak Performers, that "Peak performers are not average people with something added, they are average people with nothing taken away." While this book was written for business, I am sure that the quote has appropriate fit in the faith-based arena as well. How many ways do we take away from God's Peak Performers? Sometimes it is not understanding and using one's strengths and talents, other times it is an inability to see the truth because of harsh feelings we have. Maybe it is not understanding how to deal with the addict that walks into our
church on Sunday or how to most effectively lead a staff. Maybe it is as simple as not understanding the technical skills needed to accomplish the job we are expected to do.
This is the reason for the Euliss Consulting Group. I have assembled what I think to be some of the top performers in their given field, thus providing God's Church with the best training possible. We take great strides to ensure that nothing we teach is without a scriptural reference, God's word. If your church or faith-based organization falls into any of the categories above, contact us. We would love to help.
May God richly bless your ministry today!
